SRI Mentor Program

 

The SRI mentor/buddy system is intended to connect McGill undergrads with seniors or graduate students at McGill to get a better idea of what research is all about. Students will have the opportunity to be matched up for one semester with a successful and experienced mentor who can provide valuable advice on finding a research position, their experiences, and what a career in research entails. 

 

The success of the exchange depends on the commitment from both sides. The interaction between mentees and mentors is flexible and  can be as convenient as email exchanges only or casual meetings. The buddy system is not meant to be a research placement for students, but simply an opportunity for students looking to learn more about research.
