Pharmaceutical

Pharmaceutical research encompasses a wide array of topics including drug discovery, development, evaluation, and regulatory approval. The pharmaceutical industry is actively engaged in these aspects of drug development in order to produce and market drugs that can be used by patients.  The aim of these pharmaceutical drugs can be to cure patients, alleviate symptoms, or to vaccinate them.

Most entry-level jobs in pharmaceutical research require applicants to have a bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or a related science. Most positions may also require a master’s or doctoral degree. Furthermore, pre-existing experience in research that allows individuals to have a strong background in laboratory techniques, study design, and research methods is an asset to this field. Examples of pharmaceutical companies pertaining to this category include Pfizer, McKesson, and Moderna.

For the purpose of this event, the interview will be conducted for an applicant who it at the undergraduate level.
