Genetics

This category includes research laboratories that specialize in processing human genetic information and studying genetic conditions. These institutes would manage a lot of data and would have a significant information processing and/or data analysis component to their daily activities.  Examples of institutes that fall under this category are Genome Canada, Thermo fisher scientific, and BGI genomics. Further research topics include studying and sequencing the human genome, researching mechanisms of and treatments for genetic conditions, developing biotechnology, and studying genetic information in RNA and proteins.
