Welcome to SRI!

My name is Nora and this year I will be completing my Bachelor’s degree in science, majoring in Bio-Organic Chemistry. My overall experience at McGill has been astonishing but having a research position on top of that has added much value to my experience. We seek to help students to be less intimidated by the idea of research and show students the number of opportunities available. Student Research Initiative has been a true passion of mine since day one and I have gained nothing but joy from not only our hard-working and passionate team but from the students we have gotten to know along the way. I hope this club adds as much value to your life as it has to mine.

Fun fact about me is that I have a HUGE passion for food and music and I adore anything and everything that has to do with the outdoors. I also find the smallest details in life to be the most beautiful. I hope to see all of your talented faces at our upcoming events! :)

Hey SRI! I recently completed my Bachelor’s degree in Honors Biology at McGill, and now I’m a first year MSc student in Neuroscience. Originally from Morocco, but I’ve lived all around! I love traveling, baking, and of course talking neuroscience ;)

Looking back at my earlier years at McGill- I remember how difficult it was to get some research experience, and I knew I wasn’t the only one feeling frustrated. This is what makes me so passionate about the Student Research Initiative- a student-run service helping out fellow peers get that valuable research experience. We have a lot of exciting ideas, so hope to see you at our upcoming events!
